We are delighted to announce that the YEAR (Young European Associated Researchers) network will host a 2-day training event on writing impactful EU proposals. The event will be organized together with TNO, and the training will be given by LGi Consulting.

The training will be held in Leiden, The Netherlands, on March 21-22.

Deadline for registration is February 15.

This training has a maximum of 35 participants.
This international event brings the added value of networking among multidisciplinary Young Researchers, from the 7 YEAR members (AIT, RISE, SINTEF, TNO, Tyndall, VITO and VTT).

How to Write an impactful and winning Horizon Europe proposal for researchers and developers:

Setting up a proposal is itself a project with deliverables, milestones, partners, and lots of time spent. Some of the difficulties on that path are partners who don’t know each other & often do not share the same goals, short deadlines, and cryptic call text – and they can all make proposal writing daunting. This is why LGI Sustainable Innovation will deliver training on writing impactful and successful Horizon Europe proposals for Young European Associated Researchers. The first part will include a theoretical presentation and a ‘call reading exercise.’ By the end of the exercise, participants should have a deeper understanding of how proposals and calls work, how to manage a proposal in general, and how to do a proper call reading. In the second part, participants will break into groups, try to understand a problem they want to tackle, and draft solutions based on the Theory of Change (ToC) approach. Understanding the logic of impact and using the ToC approach effectively should help participants craft more impactful proposals in the future.
