KEY LEARNING SKILLS

  1. Time and energy Mastery
    • Researchers often have a varied workday: meetings, literature reviews, writing, and hopefully maintaining positive mental health habits! Learn how to better balance and budget your valuable time and energy.
  2. Personal Branding and Networking
    • How to build and maintain connections targeted to specific goals: connection to industry, project development, solving specific research problems, mentorship, etc.
  3. Engage, Inspire, Persuade: The Science of Presentation
    • Different kinds of meetings require different approaches: team meetings, conferences, presenting a paper, or talking with a potential industry partner. Learn tools to help you tailor your approach to different audiences for a lasting impact.

Why Choose This Workshop?

This isn’t just theory—this is transformative. Through highly interactive activities, practical tools, and peer collaboration, you’ll not only learn but also be inspired to apply these methods to your daily work. By engaging with your fellow participants, you’ll “Harvest the Gold” from shared experiences and ideas, making the learning process richer, more relevant and fun.

Establishing Good and Lasting Habits

In order to make the most of the training session you will be invited to set a concrete goal in your own “Development log”. What specifically will you take with you and turn into action? You will pair up with an accountability partner and share your goal with each other. We also encourage you to check in with your partner after three weeks for a status on how things are going.
